In the picture below a gentleman is playing a Shofar, or ram's horn at the beginning of one of our Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Services.  Jews are quite familiar with this ancient instrument that was used to sound alarm and to call people of faith to worship. Few Christians have ever seen one and even fewer have ever heard one played.  We are delighted to host these annual prayer services in which Christians and Jews come together to remember the horrors that we humans are capable of and the hope that both faiths share that all people might one day live in peace (shalom).
